Here is a selection of questions I often get asked about Colditz and James Bond. If there’s a question you’d like to ask that isn’t listed you may ask me a question here and the answer may end up here …
There is something about James Bond and Ian Fleming that inspires lots of requently asked questions. Perhaps its because Ian Fleming’s relationship with his alter ego was so endlessly intriguing. Perhaps it is because Ian Fleming himself was equally intriguing. Perhaps it is because James Bond continues to be one of the most lucrative movie franchises ever, and naturally people might be curious to know how and where it all began. My book is about Fleming and the literary Bond, not his movie incarnation. If you want to know what brand of cufflinks Sean Connery wears in the first M scene in Dr No I can’t tell you. But I’m certain there will be another website out there that can (see below)

I used to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of Colditz, and everything I knew is in my book. It is called The Definitive History, and by and large it still is.
